For maritime and amphibious operations, specialized gear is needed, otherwise it will just be unnecessarily heavier than it needs to be. The Carrier Mag Panel ANFIBIA is the ideal way to carry three magazines during such operations.
Made of seawater-resistant TPU 420 denier nylon and executed in a skeletal design, the Carrier Mag Panel ANFIBIA weighs only 245g when empty.
Attachment to the plate carrier is done with Velcro and buckle closure, as is known from many plate carriers these days.
The matching fastening buckle is included and can be attached to all MOLLE/PALS loops. It doesn't necessarily have to be the TASMANIAN TIGER Plate Carrier QR SK Anfibia – REVIEW here – but if you really have amphibious things to do, the plate carrier is the better choice.
If your plate carrier does not have a Velcro surface on the front, a MOLLE Velcro surface is included. The only disadvantage is that the Velcro holds water quite well, adding a bit more weight after submersion.
Thanks to the side bungee cord and pull tabs to secure the magazines, you don't have to worry about losing them. By the way, M4, G36 PMAGs or cleaned G36, Sig, AR15, Steyr AUG, Sig 55X, AK47, and AK74 magazines all fit easily.
The skeletal front is of course cut in the PALS grid, so additional pouches can be attached here.
CONCLUSION: The Carrier Mag Panel ANFIBIA offers you a non-water-absorbing 3-magazine pouch for your plate carrier. Thanks to the material used and the absence of metallic hardware, the whole thing is also very resistant to saltwater. Anyone planning to get really wet with their equipment will be well served with the ANFIBIA series.
The Carrier Mag Panel ANFIBIA is available at all retailers carrying TASMANIAN TIGER, starting at 50 Euros in Black, Coyote, and Olive.
