Karl Lagerfeld's opinion was firm: "Whoever wears sweatpants has lost control of their life." But the civilian fashion designer had not encountered a tactical tracksuit yet. Let us introduce you to the Tactical Tracksuit in this review.
Frag Out! Magazine and Symbo - both from Poland - collaborated to bring this tactical tracksuit to life. The goal was to incorporate certain tactical elements with functionality into a discreetly sporty clothing.
Pants and top were ordered in the color Grey, but as you can see, they have a slight color difference. Not a big deal, in our opinion. However, Black and Navy Blue are also available as color options.
The hood is not particularly spectacular. It can be tightened on the front with two thick cotton strings, and the fabric on the inside is the same as on the outside. Very comfortable! Also works well with a cap underneath.
Looking at the top, you can quickly see that it has pockets on both upper arms, secured with a zip closure. One hand doesn't quite fit in, but the pocket is big enough.
There is no Velcro on the outside, so patches must be placed elsewhere. Or you can sew a patch area later. Then the tracksuit will be even more tactical, but also more noticeable.
Full view from the side. Nothing noteworthy to report.
The front pocket is continuous, as one would expect from hoodies. Not only for your hands but also for other items. But what is above it? A zip closure?
A downside of the tracksuit, if you don't intend to wear it in the winter, is the choice of material. The fabric is thick, and the inside tends to lint easily. Even after washing several times, as can be seen here in the front pocket. There's also Velcro visible in the front pocket.
The zip closure opens an unusual pocket. It's large and has Velcro on the belly side. Various Velcro pockets, from magazine pouches to a Velcro holster, can be carried here. Everything for concealed carry.
Pulling up the pullover. A black T-shirt should not be worn underneath. However, one advantage of the fabric is that the tracksuit uses such a thick material, making it quite warm. 10 degrees Celsius with just a T-shirt underneath, without any exercise - keeps you warm. Sports in this jogger would probably be recommended only around 0 degrees Celsius.
Here is the back view. The top of the Tactical Tracksuit has a good length. Size Small was ordered, and we followed the size chart provided.
This is what it looks like in full. Elegant Grey for the Gray Man of the world.
Now on to the pants. Some details could already be seen in the image above.
Biggest feature: belt loops for a tactical belt! This opens up many possibilities. Everything - from just a few magazine pouches, to a holster, to a battle belt setup - can be worn. We had never seen anything like this before and find it a great idea!
The back view with the belt loop before we go into further details. Four loops hold the inner belt of the War Belt here in place at a point, a flat stretch waistband that securely and comfortably stops the pants at the top.
