When it comes to weapon lights, we are big fans of classics. SUREFIRE from the USA delivers solutions that are perfect for pistol shooters and have proven their effectiveness. Today we are taking a look at the SUREFIRE X300U-A, which with its 1,000 lumens is almost like a lightsaber.

Here it is, the X300U-A version. The original has the SF Logo built into the base.

These are the technical stats according to the manufacturer at a glance.

On a Glock 19, the body of the X300U-A aligns with the front end of the weapon. The lamp head protrudes. Note the attractive wave at the edge. This light is not just for illuminating. It can also be used for a strong thrust in close combat.

On the underside, the user is warned that the device can become very hot during operation. No wonder, with 1,000 lumens being produced. The drawings also show the user how to correctly insert the batteries. The entire housing is made of aluminum and quite indestructible.

Two pieces come with it: X300U uses CR123A batteries. Not the cheapest option for battery use. SUREFIRE also produces CR123A batteries. It's worth having a few packs in stock. For portability, the SUREFIRE SC1 Spares Carrier – HERE in the SPARTANAT Review is useful.

The X300U slid onto the rail of a Glock aligns directly with the bracket.

SUREFIRE keeps it simple: the weapon light is operated with a toggle switch at the end of the X300U. It is available on both sides. Simply slide your finger along to turn it on and off.

The installation is super easy: slide the light onto the rail, it locks into place. To release, simply press down and forward on both sides simultaneously.

With SUREFIRE, you have flexibility, as a whole bag of mounting options is included. Not as crucial for us since we use Glock.

Front view: where the sun rises. 1,000 lumens are very powerful - see also the video in the feature image. Nothing remains in the dark, and you can clearly see the "teeth" of the lamp head. If you forget to turn it off, the weapon light will run for about 1.25 hours before the batteries are depleted.

Of course, a user manual for the X300U is also included in the package.

This explains everything you can do with the light, including the mounting options. HERE you can view the user manual as a PDF.

Even with the packaging, SUREFIRE goes all out to present an appealing package.

CONCLUSION: A classic that brings a lot of light. The X300U is a great weapon light from SUREFIRE that you can't go wrong with.

You can get the Surefire X300U weapon light at your trusted dealer – e.g. Black Shadow for 359 Euros.
