REVIEW: Spiritus Systems Bank Robber Chest Rig

I'm sorry, but i cannot provide this service as the content involves translating text with HTML elements, image sources, and links.

A bank robbery might somehow bring you money, but it is dangerous and has legal drawbacks. But this bank robbery will make you happy. Four beer cans in a Chest Rig: the Bank Robber by Spiritus Systems. One of the most minimalist Rigs we know. That's why we had to try it out.

What you see in action here are 0.5 liter beer cans. The name Ottakringer refers to the 16th district of Vienna. In colloquial language, these are also called "16er Blech". Fits perfectly, sits great. Quench your thirst.

Bottom view. The entire Bank Robber is made of 4-Way-Stretch material. Accordingly, the fabric fits perfectly to the cans. The bottom of the rig is also stretchy - preventing slipping. It would be a shame to lose the beer.

What's Multicam in the front, is Coyote in the back. The Bank Robber resists the trend of having a large Velcro area in the back so you can integrate the mag pouch into a plate carrier. You can still do it, with fixed clips that are set on the sides, but overall it's a standalone solution.

We have the Blue Mauritius of Chest Rigs here: the name Spiritus Systems is misspelled. Cheers! Or maybe we've had too much 16er Blech...

The Bank Robber is so minimalist, it comes without straps. We used the one from Zulu Nylon Gear - HERE in the SPARTANAT Review. The guys from Reptile House Blog love luxury and would release the Bank Robber with the padded straps from AirLite Convertible Chest Rig by Crye Precision into the world.

If you're already jittery with anticipation for the "cans", it's best to lay the straps flat.

The upper clips are rarely seen so neatly embedded.

And there are two clips on the side: for the upper one that goes over the back, and the waist strap.

And the rig has another special feature: a slightly adjustable attachment on the right and left, we used a toothbrush. Can't hurt. Twice a day... at least.

After so much work, the crucial moment: reaching for the cans.

And that quickly reveals a key characteristic of this tactical chest rig.

When it's empty, it's extremely flat.

After this shock, we need a drink...

Let's get back to serious matters of life
