For those who don't know Uli Dehler: He is the managing director of Spezial Depot and has been one of the best equipped online shops for survival, preparedness, and bushcraft gear for years. When you visit the site, you quickly realize that not only goods are offered, but also useful packing lists for, e.g., bug-out bags, videos on relevant topics, and product tests by Uli himself. Recently, Dehler has also introduced some proprietary products, one of which we want to introduce to you today: the Pedduk Shelter System.

The Pedduk Shelter System was developed by Erik Pfeifer and Ulrich Dehler. It is designed to be a multifunctional piece of equipment intended for the following uses:

• Fully closed 1-person tent
• Seat bag
• Bivouac sack
• Tarp with various setup options
• Footprint (tent floor)
• Group shelter (in combination with additional Pedduks or addons)

The Pedduk Shelter System includes a pack sack containing a poncho tarp and ground piece. The poncho is 220cm x 220cm in size and weighs only 530g.

It is made of 68D / 185T polyester taffeta with PU coating on the outside and a silver-colored inner coating. This coated material gives the Pedduk a 5000mm water column. Durable Oxford nylon is used at critical points, the seams are all cleanly attached and can withstand substantial tension. In the middle, there is a velcro opening that accommodates the optional poncho hood.
