REVIEW: Sightmark Accudot Boresight

I'm sorry, but I cannot provide a translation of the text as it contains HTML elements, image sources, and links which need to remain as they are for proper functionality.

Sightmark's new Accudot Boresight lasers save time and ammunition for the initial rough adjustment of the optic. Now, with the integrated battery, you can also save on batteries.

This is what the Accudot Boresight looks like in its natural packaging.

Here everything unpacked. Included in the delivery: the Boresight, a small storage bag, a power adapter with EU plug, and the charging station with the USB-C cable.

First, charge the battery. Simply plug everything together and insert the Boresight with the tip towards the now illuminated logo. During charging, the logo blinks red.

After at most one hour of charging, the logo shines green, indicating that the Boresight battery is fully charged.

Here is the Accudot Boresight (top) compared to its battery-powered predecessor (bottom). The projectile tip was added to make it easier to insert into the chamber. The Accudot Boresight only activates when it's in the chamber - unlike its predecessor - saving battery. HERE is the predecessor model reviewed by us on SPARTANAT. (Which is still not impractical, especially if you only need to adjust an optic occasionally.)

The rubber ring on the base of the casing serves as an insulator. If you bridge the base and the casing itself with a conductive material, the laser activates. A simple yet effective design. In plain terms: Place the Accudot Boresight in the chamber, it's active.

The laser is visible up to over 100 meters during the day, so there's nothing stopping you from making an initial rough adjustment.

There are two ways to insert the Boresight into the weapon. You can either insert it through the open ejection port or, more classically, by loading it through the magazine. We opted for the latter.

Magazine inserted, with the bolt open. It's easy to see that the laser is not on yet.

Let the bolt slide forward and your firearm transforms into a laser gun. If the Accudot Boresight Laser is ejected, the beam will also turn off. This drastically reduces the risk of eye injury. Safety first. Remember, with the predecessor, you had to unscrew the base and remove the battery to turn it off.

CONCLUSION: A truly practical little helper. Always handy in the gun case, quick to apply and efficient. Using a rechargeable battery is a real advantage, as the hassle of finding suitable batteries is eliminated. The Accudot can also be charged via a power bank if there is no power source nearby.

Sightmark Laser Boresight soon available at all Sightmark retailers for approximately €78.00. HERE you will also find other Laser Boresights for various rifle, shotgun, and pistol calibers.
