To round off the magnifier program, Sightmark also offers a 7x model in their lineup. The dimensions of the device are 150mm in length, 45mm in width, and 48mm in height.
Due to the extremely long housing, the issue of placing a red dot sight and using backup iron sights is further complicated by the head placement on the buttstock. So, you either have to move everything further forward or move your head further back. The weight of the 7x Magnifier is exactly the same as the 5x model. We were surprised by this since it is a whole centimeter longer. Was something left out? We don't know, so the weight for a 7x Magnifier is acceptable.
Mechanically, the 7x is the same as the 5x and 3x models. The same mounting advice applies as with the others, we recommend a better one.Optically, the 7x is the worst device from Sightmark. The oval effect is even stronger here, and the blurriness at the edges increases. This makes the actually usable field of view extremely small. If you only need it for making precise shots on static targets, you can use it. It is recommended to use it with a reflex sight with a large aperture - like EOTech, Falke, or Aimpoint Comp/Pro.
The eye relief for the Sightmark 7x is only about 3cm, which can be limiting depending on the rifle. If a larger caliber than .223 is used, it could be painful and cause eye strain. The field of view is extremely small at 5.9 meters at 100 meters.
Accessories only include the manual and an adjustment tool.
