This text discusses the review of PSIGEAR's Bolt MOLLE Sticks and their quick draw pouches for rifle and pistol magazines. The quality and innovative design of the pouches make them a standout choice for users, particularly with their compatibility with the Bolt MOLLE Sticks system. The pouches showcase high quality and thoughtful construction, dispelling any doubts about products from the Far East.
We have already introduced you to the Bolt MOLLE Sticks from PSIGEAR. Of course, PSIGEAR also produces suitable quick draw pouches for rifle and pistol magazines designed for their innovative attachment system. We took a look at them.
There they lie peacefully side by side. From left to right: Skewer Laser-cut Rifle Compact Mag Pouch, Skewer Laser-cut Pistol Mag Pouch, and the Skewer Pistol Compact Mag Pouch. All are made of Cordura, elastic band, and webbing. Those who think that the quality must be poor because it all comes from China will be disappointed. The quality standard is very high, and the best materials have been used.
There is one more pouch for rifle magazines, the Skewer Laser-cut Rifle Mag Pouch. It is about 3 cm longer than its smaller brother, so the magazines sit deeper and are better held.
Let's start with the Skewer Laser-cut Pistol Mag Pouch. An unconventional PALS grid has been cut into the front with a laser. However, weight is saved by the spaces, and they are very helpful when attaching other pouches.
In the Skewer Pistol Compact Mag Pouch, the front is made of fuzzy Velcro. More space for small patches is always good.
From the side, all magazine pouches look very similar. A large rubber band keeps everything where it should be. By the way, the pistol pouches are available in two sizes: Thick and Original. In the picture, we have Thick, which is for Doublestack (here Glock) magazines. The Original size is intended for Singlestack pistol magazines.
The magazines find their way very easily into the pouches as they stay well open when empty. The retention resistance of the pouches cannot be adjusted. This could become a problem in the long run, but so far, the rubber has not weakened.
The top of the Skewer Pistol Compact Mag Pouch is unadorned.
For all other magazine pouches - including those for rifles - there are small tabs at the top where you can loop round rubbers for additional magazine security. For illustrative purposes, we have used orange paracord here.
The real advantage of these pouches is that they are optimized for the Bolt MOLLE Sticks. As you can see, laser-cut material and classic webbing have been used here. This makes threading a breeze.
Thanks to the laser-cut PALS loops on the front, multiple pouches can of course be attached to each other. Nothing new, but still very practical for configuration according to your wishes.
This is what a fully stocked shooting belt could look like - full of all pouches from PSIGEAR. The pistol pouches also fit other narrow items, such as multitools.
CONCLUSION: The magazine pouches from PSIGEAR perfectly embody the system of the Bolt MOLLE Sticks. The quality of the pouches convinced us, as did the design and handling. These pouches from the Far East do not need to hide from any competition.
The magazine pouches are available directly from PSIGEAR: Pistol Mag Pouch and Pistol Compact Mag Pouch from $10.00; Rifle Compact Mag Pouch and Rifle Mag Pouch from $18.00, excluding shipping. All available in Multicam or Black (excluding shipping).
