The PSIGEAR Bolt Sticks consist of two parts. A locking rod and a corresponding receptacle. The complete stick weighs only 12 g and is made of highly durable polymer. So far, we have not been able to significantly damage a stick during normal use.

The use is simple. The manufacturer provides an informative video (LINK). First, the receiving part must be woven into the PALS strapping. It is only important that the barbs catch.

As a second step, the rod is woven between the bag and the vest and clicked in at the end. To make it easier for you to see, we have omitted the counterpart to the bag.

At the top end, the hook of the rod should hook into the webbing of the bag and the vest. The "bolts" are easier to thread on classic PALS webbing than on snug-fitting laser cut. With a little practice, you quickly get the hang of it here too.

CONCLUSION: A real alternative to the well-known MALICE clips, as the installation is simple, quick, and completely tool-free. At the beginning, we were admittedly somewhat skeptical about the durability of these PSIGEAR Bolt Sticks, but our doubts were dispelled in use. Especially for users who often remove or change their bags, a very worthwhile purchase.
