REVIEW: PIG FDT Alpha Multicam Black

06/01/2021By Redaktion
Feelings are so important. Emotional people also. And only with a lot of feeling will it get better in the world. Therefore, the PIG is the right step. Maybe not for humanity, but for the shooter it is. FDT promises, Full Dexterity Tactical. The full tactical feeling. That's exactly what we want to have with gloves like these ...
The PIG FTD Alpha is a rather short glove that closes at the wrist. Here we have the Multicam Black version. It is also available in Coyote, Black, Ranger Green, Urban Grey, and of course Multicam. At first glance, you can see many different materials used.
This is also the case with the palm of the hand. The glove is cut very tight, which significantly contributes to the very good wearing comfort.
At the wrist, a thick strap closes, on one side of which the PIG logo can be seen in rubber: a pig. Oink!
On the other side there is a loop. This is practical when putting them on, but above all because you can hang the pair on a belt or gear if the user has a hook for it. Then the Alphas are securely stored and always ready for use.
The palm is made from one piece so that the shooter can grip the weapon handle nicely.
The fingers already have holes when you get the gloves. This is to prevent excessive sweating in the gloves. The material on the index finger and thumb is also designed for operating a smartphone. This is practical for when you want to make a phone call on the range without having to take off the skin-tight gloves. The Smartphone in the Jaggernaut Case on the chest can of course also be a tactical device that needs to be operated.
The material is flexible, multi-layered, and also very interestingly sewn: there are seams on the fingers that ensure mobility and ventilation.
The knuckle protection looks inconspicuous, but is super padded. We are usually fans of Oakleys with carbon knuckle protection. But this here is just as good and even more flexible: Nylon 1000D Knuckles.
Looking at the edge of the hand and the closing strap, there is even PIG written on it.

As I said: it's tight and tight is known to be awesome. But you have to get in with feeling. So press firmly while pulling with the loop in your hand.

And then spread your fingers and make sure everything fits properly. The finger length of the hand matches exactly that of the gloves, which fits perfectly in size Large.

Push-up on the ankle, the padding of the Alphas is truly a blessing. Here with less feeling, as it should be.

Using the glove for sports works just as well, whether it's a pull-up bar, barbell, or kettlebell - the PIG FDT Alpha plays along with everything. Multicam Black is obviously a statement.

Here, however, the tactical glove is at home. With the PIG, you have everything under control.

At the same time, the hand is well protected. In the first moment, it's of course an unfamiliar feeling when you usually shoot without gloves. But as they say: learn to shoot, put on gloves, learn to shoot again with gloves.

Or learn to forget that you are wearing gloves. The PIG is great for that because they fit so well when you've chosen the right size.

The whole handling of weapons and magazines works great with the PIG Alpha.

That's the whole color palette.

CONCLUSION: The PIG FDT Alpha is a great glove that we fell in love with from the first moment we put it on. It is super comfortable to wear and fulfills its function just as it should. And of course, gloves are consumables. You wear them until they are worn out, then you get the next pair. Surely again the PIG FDT Alpha. Not only because of the feelings, but also ...

You can get the PIG FDT Alpha Multicam Black at S4 SUPPLIES for 48.90 euros. And also available in the colors Black, Coyote, Ranger Green, Urban Grey, and Multicam.
