REVIEW: PerSysMedical 4BC Bleed Control Kit

When an accident happens - it doesn't always have to be a gunshot accident or the result of a battle - you want to have at hand what helps. In the military field, IFAKs have established themselves, kits with which one can provide initial care for a victim, including stopping bleeding radically. From PerSysMedical now comes the 4BC Bleed Control Kit, which you see above. Everything must be quickly at hand when blood is flowing, all wrapped in an orange plastic cover.

The rest is simple: tear it open and the individual components come to light.

First aid can also have something to do with self-protection. So a few small packaged rubber gloves are included in the set.

Bleeding from injuries to the limbs can be stopped by applying a splint. The SOF Tactical Tourniquet is also included with the American special forces, and it is also in the pack.

Bleeding from wounds can be stopped with Celox, which is stuffed into the wound. This "clogs" the wound so that the injured person does not bleed to death.

Also included: the classic Israeli bandage, a pressure bandage that can be applied over the wound.
