We call the shots around here. But you can imagine that the daily decision of which pair of pants to wear is not an easy one. We have many, each with its own advantage. By the way, we never wear pants with disadvantages, as a principle. PENTAGON has decided to combine all the advantages and has brought a very exciting pair of pants to the market at a good price, which we want to take a look at today. Today we are the ones dancing with the WOLF.

Tactical Sportswear is made by PENTAGON. And that's for sure, the WOLF tactical pants that we are reviewing here are quite sporty. Tight on the legs, with a high waistband, and plenty of pockets, twelve to be exact. Just like a good pair of tactical pants.

For the material, PENTAGON uses 2-way stretch RipStop fabric, which is flexible and durable. The pants are designed to accommodate belts that are 55mm wide, but we went with the Tasmanian Tiger Hyp Belt 30 – HERE in the SPARTANAT Review instead.

The front closure of the pants features a zipper, which is then double secured. Once with a snap button, and then with an orange button behind it for extra safety. The color acts as a nice contrast on a pair of pants that is otherwise available in Black, Coyote, and Ranger Green (nice RAL7013 – as seen in the image). New additions include Wolf Grey and Midnight Blue. For fans of rare camouflage patterns, there is even a WOLF pants in Greek Lizard pattern.

There is a discreet padding made of Coolmax material in the waistband, ensuring that the pants are comfortable to wear over your delicate hips.

The normal depth front pockets, which are also set high, have reinforced corners so you can always carry your pocket knife. The slit beneath the pocket is an extremely practical phone compartment.

You'll find orange Shock Cord in the pockets extend almost all the way down. This system is used for adjusting the height of the knee area, so it can be customized when wearing protectors.

From the side, you can already see many more of the features of the PENTAGON WOLF, as well as the close-fitting cut.

On the thighs, there are two pockets waiting to be filled by the wearer. And there's always plenty to carry.

There is a pocket on the thigh about the size of a cigarette box, facing forward.

On the side of the thigh, there are large pockets that are closed with Canadian buttons and have a zipper on the side - making it easy to access the pocket when sitting.

One button is concealed, one is exposed. A practical solution for people who want quick access to their pocket or prefer to keep the front button open.

The knee is double reinforced with Cordura in a matching color. A very practical feature on a pair of pants that is heavily stressed in that area. Inside, mesh fabric provides good ventilation.

Underneath the reinforcement, there is a dedicated compartment where knee pads can be inserted. This compartment can accommodate a self-cut foam pad as well as proper protectors. The straps can be looped around the leg through openings. You can see knee pads in action in the video, which you can click on in the main image above.

What we like about this solution is its versatility: the Cordura strip is a great feature, but you can escalate knee protection professionally. The protectors can also be installed inside the pants. However, if you prefer a simpler approach, you can wear them easily and uncomplicated over your pants.
