REVIEW: Pentagon Urban Tactical Anorak

Admittedly, usually this is the time when you would rather take off an anorak, especially if it's nicely lined like the Urban Tactical Anorak (UTA) from Pentagon. However, we won't let that stop us and we'll introduce you to this good piece right here and now. On the day we did the shoot, the anorak fit perfectly, the weather was quite unpleasant in terms of temperature, and we were glad we had the waterproof UTA with us.

And that's how it goes with pullover jackets. Always over the head. The thicker and bulkier, the more difficult (the jacket, not the head). At least the Pentagon Anorak isn't tight-fitting, so that's fine.

The result speaks for itself: a solid pullover jacket in a timeless style, here in modern gray, with a large hood. Weatherproof on the outside, nice and warm on the inside.

Zipped pockets on the sleeves (left), with velcro for patches, the sleeve ends (right) can be tightly fastened with straps, so no cold air gets in.

Super practical are the two slanting pockets (left), where the wearer can hide their hands. The strap across the chest is the closure for a wide pocket with even more storage space. If you want to do some kangaroo-ing, plenty fits in here. But it also shows accordingly on the stomach …

The hood is quite generous in itself, but can also be made smaller: pull tighter around the neck (left), pull up at the back (top right), and everything fits snugly on the head. Very practical …

The side slit on both sides allows you to open the anorak up to the armpits. Great for getting out. Also good if you are wearing a holster and need to easily unzip the pullover jacket by 20 centimeters.

CONCLUSION: The Pentagon Urban Tactical Anorak is an excellent piece that is practical and well made. The price-performance ratio is perfect. Pentagon proves itself as a king of affordable and quality gear. The UTA is a pullover anorak built to last, but also looks convincing in civilian urban use.
