Helmet lights are something great, after all, you can easily attract attention with them. And that for the naked eye or with night vision goggles. We took a look at the rather simple model "Stealth" Survival Light from OPSMEN.

Here you can see the "Stealth" helmet light in its natural habitat, namely on the helmet. It cuts a fine figure.

Viewed from the top, the blinking light reveals its LEDs through the transparent casing. Everything is solid and very well-made. The "Stealth" weighs only 78g with a CR 123A battery, so it doesn't stand out much on the helmet.

To activate the light, there is a slide switch on the left side with three positions. The zero is for "Off" and "one" and "two" are the different light modes. But what are they?

When set to one, the "Stealth" light shines constantly green.

If the switch is pushed to level two, the green light is accompanied by flashing white, which blinks once per second. As you can see in the main picture and in the video, it is very bright. This ensures that you are easily seen.

On the opposite side, there is another slide switch with two positions. The front position, marked with a bump on the surface, makes the "Stealth" Survival Light shine in the visible light spectrum.

When the switch is pushed back, it switches to the IR mode. This can be seen well in the video. There are again two different IR blinking modes available. NATO with 30 blinks per minute and US with 60 blinks per minute.

On both sides, there are slots where you can pass a lanyard through. A paracord fits easily and ensures safety on the helmet. Nothing is as annoying as losing a VIP light.

The "Stealth" helmet light holds on all Velcro surfaces. The hook velcro on the underside works perfectly. Thanks to the screw-on battery cover, the light is waterproof to IPX8 - and it even floats.

It is powered by a single CR 123A battery. A classic solution. The battery life per battery is up to 200 hours with green continuous light, 56 hours with white flashing, and approximately ten hours in IR mode.

The "Stealth" does not have vibration to indicate that it has been turned on. Instead, tactile markings are provided at the slide switch. These can be felt very well even with gloves and you immediately know whether the light is on or not.

CONCLUSION: Anyone looking for a well-made signaling light to be easily seen is in the right place with the "Stealth" from OPSMEN. Thanks to two visible light modes, you will be seen clearly, and the IR blinking modes can also be very useful for friend-foe marking with night vision goggles. The "Stealth" Survival Light also makes sense on a backpack. Compared to other, professional flashing lights for the military sector, the fully functional "Stealth" is a price winner.

The "Stealth" Survival Light is available at JK-Army for 39.90 USD in Black and Tan.
