REVIEW: NOVRITSCH Low Profile 5.56 Pouch

We received a package from NOVRITSCH, which we have taken a "First Look" at here. Now let's get specific. We find this very exciting, on one hand because we notice how much the name polarizes, on the other hand because this is now the first equipment from his Viennese gear workshop - designed here, produced in Asia. The first pouch is a magazine pocket, the Low Profile 5.56 Pouch. We find the name funny because it refers to 5.56 ammunition and not 6mm BBs. But yes, real firearms and airsoft guns have magazines, the latter being a bit thicker. The pouch accommodates both.

Our specimen is Coyote Brown on the outside, but there are six colors available. The fabric texture looks coarser in the photo than in reality. The exterior features a MOLLE pattern. The pouch is not NIR, so it reflects in night vision devices. Not so important for the clientele...

View from the inside. The flap is coated like a tarpaulin, which makes it more durable. Then we see a stretch fabric that tightly grips and stabilizes the magazine. In principle, the pouch is somewhat like a Ten-Speed pouch, but with an externally sewn MOLLE structure for attachment.

Inside the Low Profile 5.56 Pouch we have a Velcro patch, where you can probably attach a bungee cord and then mount pull tabs.

The side profile looks very slim, no wonder. The stretch ensures that it is very flat when no magazine is inserted. "Low profile" indeed. The tag displays the manufacturer's logo.

The MOLLE system at the back is solid. The counterpart that is looped back has plastic reinforcement. The strap fabric is lighter than other manufacturers, which is a good feature.

CONCLUSION: A solid pouch that fulfills its purpose well - at a good price.
