REVIEW: MSM Retracto-Plugs

09/12/2012By Redaktion

Where is my ear protection again?! This is the question we always ask ourselves according to Murphy whenever it's already too late - in this case, when it's very loud or getting loud. To address this annoying problem, today we want to present to you the Mil-Spec Monkey Retracto-Plugs:

These 10g lightweight ear protection plugs have a NRR (Noise Reduction Rating) of 25dB, making the environment much quieter. The advantage of these plugs is that they are attached to a mini retractable cord. They are also replaceable in case they become unusable after heavy use.

The cord can be extended up to 35 cm, offering various attachment options, not just in the helmet. They are mounted in the helmet using Velcro. To retract them, simply press the button and they snap back. In our images, we have the plugs mounted in a MICH 2000 and an Ops-Core Fast Bump Helmet.

CONCLUSION: A truly simple and ingenious solution for always having a backup ear protection at hand to outsmart Murphy, at least if you have your helmet at the right moment.

Available directly at MSM for $8.00 excluding shipping
