REVIEW: Magpul GL Enhanced Magwell

Good plastic stuff for rifles and pistols, that's Magpul. Just like how they revolutionized the rifle magazine market with the PMAG, they are now making useful parts for firearms. One such part is the Magwell for Glock. It helps with faster reloading, the shooter finds the hole (we mean the magazine well) easier. We took a look at the Magpul GL Enhanced Magwell for you.

For a long time after its release, it was rare with us, the USA itself is shy about sending gun parts. Ultimately, we were able to purchase the appropriate Magwell for the Glock 19 at Horner Arms. Magpul provides the Glock 19 Gen3 and Gen4, as well as the Glock 17 Gen3 and Gen4 with this practical part.

Unpacked: that's it. A very simple solution with a not oversized funnel for the Glock. The fat peg fits into the Glock's grip frame and secures everything.

Here we are already using it. The installation is simple.

Insert and then insert the supplied screw through the hole in the grip frame and screw everything together. Fits, perfect...

We like to use +2 magazines. Works flawlessly.

In this picture you can see the funnel nicely. Everything is directed so that you can quickly get the magazine into the large hole. At the same time, the Magwell enlarges the grip frame of the Glock 19 slightly, which we find - because of our hands - good.  HERE is the product video from MAGPUL. 

CONCLUSION: Magwells are a wide field, most of them are made of metal and cost three digits. This one is narrow and inconspicuous - almost a "tactical" Magwell - and a good addition for two common Glock models. In the USA, you can already get started with 25 dollars, with us, it costs almost double. Still: an affordable Magwell of good Magpul quality.
