REVIEW: LOWA Renegade II GTX HI TF Brown

Sure, please provide the text you would like me to translate.

Summer is coming to an end and the wet autumn is slowly approaching. Best time for hiking. And the best time to focus on Gore-Tex boots that make you weatherproof. We took a look at the new LOWA Renegade II GTX HI TF - and were able to test it extensively in both heat and rainy weather.

This is what the boot looks like in its full glory in the brown nubuck leather version. The design features clearly resemble the LOWA Renegade Mid, except that the shaft is now nicely high.

A good lacing is always important and LOWA has done a great job here. The laces are threaded through the eyelets, so no hook eyelets. This means nothing should get caught when parachuting. Small disadvantage: when taking off, the laces have to be pulled back along the entire length, so the end can quickly slip out of the eyelet. Our tip, just tie a knot in the end of the shoelace.

Everything is well held on the instep as well. The lacing did not cause us any problems at all, on the contrary, it ensures a great fit.

At the end of the shaft we find our favorite material, Cordura. The Renegade Hi TF is also well padded and comfortable to wear.

Cordura is also processed at the flex point at the Achilles tendon. The expansion joint guarantees good flexibility despite the high shaft.

The nubuck leather is very matte, which we like. Dirt and moisture don't affect the leather, it holds up well to everything.

The toe cap is sturdy, but not reinforced with a metal cap. Still, your toes are always well protected.

The tread is the same as on the Renegade Mid. Why improve something that is already very good? The sole has always done its job and we have never slipped with it. What pleased us was the absence of any squeaking when walking on wet floors with a wet sole. The entire shoe is also certified as a "professional shoe" according to EN ISO 20347: 2012. Important information for all procurers out there.

Moisture has hardly a chance to get inside thanks to Gor-Tex. What is a big advantage in autumn or in humid areas, sometimes becomes a small disadvantage in summer. The heat tends to accumulate strongly in the shoe beyond 28°C. A known problem with heavy boots with laminate.

But there are also many advantages every day: running through puddles and other waters with the Renegade II GTX HI TF is even more fun, as you come out with dry feet. A significant advantage when out in the countryside.

CONCLUSION: The LOWA Renegade II GTX HI TF is a great shoe. Not only nice to look at, but also comfortable and robust. We deliberately only sporadically cared for it, but that noticeably didn't faze the Renegade II GTX HI TF. If you are looking for a stable and waterproof shoe for autumn and early winter, this shoe is the right choice.

The LOWA Renegade II GTX HI TF in brown nubuck leather is not yet available for purchase, but will be soon. It will be priced at 199 euros, like its black smooth leather counterpart.
