REVIEW: London Bridge Trading TNT Boonies

We've had them before, but we'll show them to you again: the Boonies from London Bridge Trading, produced in collaboration with TNT. We recently managed to get the whole range. The image above shows the AOR1 variant of the Navy SEALs. And HERE is our first article about them. 

"Fetzenschädel" describes it quite well. The outside of the Boonie is made of extremely lightweight material, which is also cut in a V-shape. The hat is not broken, but is designed to ensure that it is a head covering that allows air to circulate around the head in hot climates.

Inside, a material is used that has more of a "Woodland" pattern and resembles a European potato sack. The sweatband has an elastic band, so the Boonie fits very well and won't fly off in the wind.

And this is the full range: AOR1, UCP, and AOR2. The camouflage effectiveness of AOR1 on sandy terrain is very impressive. The tattered look also helps blur the contours. UCP works well in rocky areas.

CONCLUSION: Cool hats, but they don't seem to have caught on very much. LBT no longer offers them, they have also sold them off in between.
