Old but good. No, not the wearer, but the vest is meant here. The LBT-6034B from the proven house London Bridge Trading is a classic piece of equipment that has already disappeared from LBT's current lineup. Still a good armor, we think and have taken a closer look at it.
The LBT-6034B is a pure equipment carrier. It does not provide ballistic protection, is cut like a vest, and is covered with MOLLE on the front and back. The front consists of two parts that are closed with a zipper. The back is a separate panel. The width can be adjusted on the right and left using paracord. At the bottom, you can see the loops that can be clipped and through which a belt can be integrated into the Tactical Vest.
The LBT-6034B is adjustable at the shoulder. The strap comes from the back panel and is guided through a buckle, which is sewn onto the front panels. The length of the strap is adjustable with velcro. If you want to mount badges, you can easily do so on the front of the vest: velcro is attached here.
The inside of the LBT-6034B: The entire tactical vest is lined with mesh on the inside. On the back (left), it is even double-layered and open at the top, so a hydration bladder could be carried here. On the right, you can see the mesh lining on the front of the LBT-6034B. In Olive, there is a small pocket sewn in that could hold documents or bandaging material.
CONCLUSION: The LBT-6034B is a modular equipment carrier that can be configured as needed by the wearer. It envelops the torso in solid 1000D Cordura and is still not a heavy vest because it does not have ballistic inserts. It looks a bit like the more modern brother of the famous Eagle TAC Vest, which was not modular. It is still in demand and as London Bridge Trading explained to us, there will be a reissue of the LBT-6034B soon.
The LBT-6034B is currently only available on Ebay and costs around 50 euros there.
