REVIEW: LBT TNT Boonie in AOR2

Summer is coming back, and it's good to have a headgear that: 1. is light, 2. camouflages well, and 3. ventilates the head well. A helmet can be burdensome and a cap can cause heat buildup. London Bridge Trading (LBT) has been on the market for some time now with the LBT TNT Boonie in AOR1 and AOR2. The gear workshop from Virginia Beach, in collaboration with their subsidiary (True North Tactical - TNT), has created a lighter and more breathable version of the typical "jungle hat" at the request of DEVGRU - and they've done it so well that you could almost believe they never did anything else.

The Boonie Hat consists of 3 main parts: the elastic headband, the inner net, which should have a Woodland color scheme, and the outer camouflage material (either AOR1 or AOR2). The camouflage material is cut in the middle to break the contours of the head and provide better camouflage. This gives the Boonie a bit of a "shredded skull" look. Additionally, a small adjustment band has been added to the outside of the Boonie Hat, allowing for size adjustment. (However, this won't be necessary for most head sizes due to the elastic inner band)

The inside consists of a kind of net in an indiscernible Woodland color scheme. The combination of the openings at the top of the Boonie and the use of this inner net provides perfect ventilation for the scalp, which is very important on hot days to prevent the body from overheating.

CONCLUSION: By using these very high-quality yet lightweight materials, a Boonie Hat is created that weighs only 30g and can be compressed to fit into a regular pants pocket.
