Doesn't look like this guy has such a big belly. Actually, if he wants to, he can lose it. It's not about the physique. It's about the carrier. It consists of two parts: a slick, which is a plate carrier that is smooth and without any MOLLE, and in front of it a removable panel. Both are from London Bridge Trading. The carrier is an LBT-6094A Slick, and the assault panel is the LBT-2586J Quick Release Assault Panel. We tested it for you.
All the load is attached to the front of the plate carrier and has MOLLE on it, so you can attach things like pistol magazine holders and smaller pouches. The interior is Velcro-lined. It comes with a four-slot insert (M4 magazines and similar) and a three-slot insert (SCAR-H magazines and similar). Tip for installation: wrap paper around the insert, fit it in, remove paper. This ensures the Velcro sits properly.
The panel is attached with two of these clips on the chest, which are hooked onto the slick with a loop. Looks a bit adventurous, but has proven to work well. The elastic strap security for the magazines was improved by the owner - you can see the retrofitted S&S Precision Pull Tabs.
A strap goes around the back, which can also be looped into the slick. There is a side release buckle for quick detachment. Securely adjusted, nothing wobbles on the belly pouch.
Clips! Release and off you go with the Assault Panel. This is practical because the wearer can drop the equipment in action, while the slick carrier with plates remains on to fulfill its protective function.
All in one hand. LBT-2586J in its modest glory. The slick is clearly visible, it has a nice map pocket on the chest and a Velcro area for the patches that everyone needs.
On the sides, you can also see the empty slots designed for radios or similar items. And of course, there's the logo of London Bridge Trading.
And in detail with tags: Man wears the brand.
From the back, the LBT-6094 Slick: MOLLE hasn't been completely abandoned here, which is practical because it allows for attaching a hydration carrier. It closes with Velcro that goes under the large flap in the front.
CONCLUSION: LBT-6094 Slick and LBT-2586J Assault Panel are sort of the modular versions of the classic plate carrier LBT-6094A, which we've had a few times before. A great combination where you can shed weight if you want. But that's not necessary for everyone, in that case, you can opt for the non-modular version.
You can get the LBT-6094 Slick directly from London Bridge Trading for $166. The LBT-2586J Quick Release Assault Panel is also available there for $185.
