KJI introduces their tripod head with Arca Swiss mounting, ideal for shooting sports. The system offers quick and secure mounting along with versatile adjustments. Suitable for rifles, spotting scopes, and cameras, providing a solid solution for precision shooting on a tripod. The system is available directly from KJI starting at 479.99 Euros.

KJI manufactures stable tripods and mounts for shooting sports. Today we want to introduce their tripod head with Arca Swiss mounting. We have previously introduced you to the KJI K800 Tripod with Reaper Grip HERE in detail. And HERE the use of a tripod for shooting.

The Arca Swiss mounting system is particularly popular in the field of photography. After all, this type of mounting was also developed for this purpose. In the end, a plate is clamped similar to a vise.

This is practical when the underside of the stock has an Arca Swiss rail along its entire length, as the mounting point can be quickly and easily adjusted.

Some manufacturers offer you an integrated Arca Swiss rail in the stock, so nothing extra needs to be screwed on.

A nice detail that we noticed is that the rifle/mounting axis is slightly angled towards the clamping handle. This makes operation easier, as you have a little more space for your hand on the stock.

If the mounting rail on the weapon is securely fastened, the weapon with the tripod can be lifted or transported. The tripod essentially becomes a "giant bipod."

The clamping screw is made of metal and has a good size, making it easy to operate even with gloves.

On the underside, you will find the same screw again.

If this is loosened, you can tilt the Arca Swiss mounting. 11° to the right, …

… and 11° to the left. This allows a slightly unevenly set up tripod to be quickly adjusted. Just in case you're wondering, Arca Swiss is not a defined standard, so some plates fit better or worse. In the image, you can see a gap, but it holds securely.

The KJI Reaper Rail System - Arca Swiss is not only suitable for mounting a rifle but also for a spotting scope. In the image you can see a Sightmark Latitude 15-45×60 Tactical Spotting Scope with a heavily modified case. A DSLR camera would also feel comfortable on the Reaper Rail.

The KJI Reaper Rail System - Arca Swiss fits on any tripod that has a 3/8"-16 thread. This is the larger thread that has become common in the photography world. Therefore, the shown KJI K700 Tripod is not a must, but a solid choice.
CONCLUSION: The KJI Reaper Rail System - Arca Swiss is a solid way to mount a rifle for precision shooting on a tripod. Thanks to Arca Swiss, other things besides rifles can be quickly and securely mounted on it. Overall, this mount is slimmer than the Reaper Grip, which clamps around the stock. The tilt/pan head is identical and works flawlessly.
The KJI Reaper Rail System - Arca Swiss is available from 479.99 Euros directly from KJI. In combination with the K700 Tripod, the set is available from 539.99 Euros.
