REVIEW: INFORCE WILD 2 Pistol Light

We have already introduced you to the little brother. Today we turn our attention to the INFORCE Wild 2 pistol light, the slim full metal light for demanding use.

The WILD2 pistol light illuminates up to 300 m, is powered by two CR123A batteries, but lasts "only" up to 1.5 hours of continuous operation. However, it offers you 1,000 lumens with 25,000 candela, power comes at a price.

The WILD 2 features a patented ambidextrous paddle system, which is extremely simple to use.

The paddle is positioned very naturally and facilitates smooth transition of finger movements from the pistol to the paddle switch and trigger. If you press and hold the paddle for more than half a second, you are in momentary mode. If you quickly press one of the paddles, you activate constant mode. This is easy for both right and left-handed users. There is also a strobe mode, just double-click. It is no longer a Keep It Stupid Simple solution, but some people like it that way.

There is also a lockout mode where you can lock the switches for transport. A nice idea, as it is not easy to access the battery compartment. More on that later.

The profile of the WILD 2 is designed to minimize protrusion over the pistol profile. The design also features very straight edges and large smooth surfaces reminiscent of the F-117 Stealth Bomber.

Attaching it to the firearm is also simple, you just need a slotted screwdriver. It holds up well and we had no problems with it.

The batteries are inserted from the back, with a very specific patent, as you can see in the short video. Therefore, the light must be removed for a battery change.

Let's talk about brightness. According to the manufacturer, it is indeed 1,000 lumens with up to 25,000 candela. We find that to be very good. There is a risk of self-blinding in tight spaces, but on the other hand, you can also shine light on greater distances.

This is what it looks like when you are illuminated from 20 meters away with the WILD 2. If you are looking for a light that is always brighter than that of the other side, the WILD 2 is a good choice. Unfortunately, this makes it less compact, but the energy has to come from somewhere. As I said, there are many lights and each has its own specific use cases.

The INFORCE WILD 2 is a pistol light, that's why we have refrained from testing it beyond 50 m, because realistically a shot over 50 m with a pistol in poor light is rather unlikely in our opinion.

CONCLUSION: The WILD 2 by INFORCE is a solid, sturdy pistol light. Those looking for a bright "Duty Light" can take it without hesitation. In our opinion, the WILD 2 is a good choice for anyone looking for a sturdy "No BS" pistol light that should be very bright.
