REVIEW: IMI Defense Flashlight Mounts TLM1 and 2

01/10/2015By Redaktion

In times of complete solutions, these companions are almost forgotten: the Flashlight Mounts. Formerly ubiquitous, but thanks to Surefire and other manufacturers, there are now many options to get light on your weapon or helmet. For those who like it "old school," IMI Defense has now introduced two new mounts to the market, the TLM1 and TLM2. We took a closer look at them for you:

imitlm2The TLM1 Side Mount allows a 0.75" to 1" flashlight to be mounted on the side of the weapon rail, as the name suggests. The TLM2 places the light in line with the rail on the weapon. Both are made of very robust, glass fiber-reinforced polymers that can withstand a lot.

imitlm3Both mounts have a QD mount, which allows the light to be quickly mounted and disassembled. The locking mechanism for lifting is on the TLM1, and for pushing on the TLM2. Both can then be simply slid onto the rail.

imitlm4The light is secured in a classic way with allen screws. A spacer ring for flashlights with only 0.75" is included. Both are true lightweight at only 44 g.

CONCLUSION: Those who want to mount a tactical flashlight or laser on their weapon will be delighted with these new mounts. Simple, robust, really easy to use, and reliable, they present themselves.

The TLM-1 and TML-2 are available directly from IMI Defense for $30 each (excluding shipping). Or at local stores that carry IMI Defense products.
