REVIEW: Hydration Carrier by CONDOR

The main advantage of a hydration pack is the ability to comfortably and efficiently drink water without having to stop. It is very important to stay hydrated during physical activity and operations in order to remain ready. CONDOR OUTDOOR offers various hydration packs in their range, including hydration bladders. We from SPARTANAT took a closer look at the Hydration Carrier in Crye-Precision® MultiCam Black®.

The Condor Hydration Carrier is a lightweight hydration pack made of 100% polyamide (CORDURA) for carrying a 3.0 liter bladder (included) and equipped with MOLLE attachment system.

The Hydration Carrier is wearable and can be used as a backpack.

The Hydration Carrier is attached to MOLLE/PALS compatible platforms via the MOLLE attachment system.

The shoulder strap of the Hydration Carrier can be completely removed.

The shoulder strap is adjustable in length. The rest of the strap is rolled up and secured with Velcro, preventing loose ends from dangling.

An adjustable chest strap enhances wearing comfort.

The principle of the Hydration Carrier is KISS - Keep it simple stupid. The MOLLE attachment system is threaded through the large D-rings.

It is then passed through MOLLE/PALS loops and secured with a snap button.

Release the Fastex buckle from the carrying strap and thread it through a MOLLE/PALS loop in the lower area.

Thread the Fastex buckle through the loop and click it back on top.

The hydration bladder is secured in the Hydration Carrier by two fastening straps with Velcro.

A three-liter Torrent Reservoir Gen II is included in the delivery. The bag is made of non-toxic PEVA film in dark green color, which has partial transparency, allowing easy monitoring of the bladder's fill level with a scale attached to the top.

The hose is connected to the bladder through a valve.

Easy uncoupling and re-coupling through the quick release coupling. The water remains in the bladder due to an automatic shut-off system.

The bladder is sealed with a polymer slider, which also serves as a hanger. The slider is equipped with slots for fastening straps, allowing it to be hung in a backpack or hydration pack.

Thanks to the removable sliding bar, the bladder can be easily filled and cleaned.

An High-Flow Bite Mouthpiece ensures easy and quick fluid intake even while in motion. The mouthpiece has a comfortable, curved shape and can freely rotate around its axis. It is equipped with a dirt-repellent cap and an additional water shut-off valve.

The comfortable bite mouthpiece ensures proper water flow.

The 100cm long flexible hose is lined with a fabric cover to protect it from harmful UV radiation.

Highly welded seams allow the hydration bladder to be turned inside out, making it easier to clean and ventilate.

CONCLUSION: The HYDRATION CARRIER from CONDOR is versatile. Whether used as just a hydration pack or attached to a plate carrier or backpack. CONDOR consciously avoids unnecessary accessories and weight with its simple design. The included TORRENT RESERVOIR is robust, extremely durable, and has the necessary features that a modern hydration bladder needs. CONDOR once again focuses on a very good price-performance ratio with the complete package. Fluid is important, because the cell has to float.
