Today we show you the HM3X Magnifier from HOLOSUN in detail. Last year, this magnifier was presented at various trade shows by the well-known Red Dot manufacturer, eagerly awaited by many. Over the past few months, we have extensively tested this 3x magnifier. Now our thoughts on it.
The HM3X is delivered in a plastic case with sufficient foam padding. Well protected, half the battle is won, even though the HM3X is extremely robust.
Everything included: the HM3X Magnifier, a 5mm riser, an adjustment tool, and of course the integrated flip-to-side mount. All in proven HOLOSUN quality.
The adjustment tool offers you a T10 Torx and a flat screwdriver side. With this, you can adjust and modify everything on the HM3X.
If you have a higher optic, you can simply screw in the 5mm high riser. This will bring you to a Lower 1/3 Co-Witness height. The distance from rail top to lens center is 35mm without riser, 40mm with riser. Unfortunately, the longer screws are not included.
The flip-to-side mount works flawlessly. With a press or pull of the hand, the HM3X can easily be flipped to the side or into position. A simple and intuitive solution. The mounting itself has the same clamping mechanism as other Holosun mounts. The lever is additionally secured, and the tension can be adjusted continuously using T10 Torx screws.
The HM3X folded from the sighting line. Here you can see the compact design. The HM3X feels very comfortable behind the Holosun HE530G-RD ELITE Red Dot and fits perfectly without a spacer. Left-handed shooters will be delighted because the HM3X Magnifier can simply be unscrewed and then it folds to the other side.
At the back of the swivel mount, you will find a slotted screw and a small, knurled screw. The slotted screw allows you to adjust the folding resistance. The small screw is an adjustment tool for the magnifier or the Red Dot. Very cleverly solved.
But now to the most important, the magnification and the glass quality. Our target is about 30 meters away. Everything is visible through the Red Dot to some extent.
With the HM3X, everything is even more visible. The quality of the lenses is really very, very good, and they also have very high edge sharpness. Thanks to the adjustment turrets, you can adjust the HM3X so that the dot is always in the exact center.
The HM3X from the other side. A very slim, straightforward design, we love it. In the center of the clamping mount, you can see the screw for adjusting the tension. The housing looks rubberized, but it is actually the best metal.

CONCLUSION: The HOLOSUN HM3X is a very good magnifier that does not need to hide behind EOTech and Aimpoint. Unfortunately, the longer screws for the spacer are not included. The mounting is suitable for left- and right-handed shooters and the tool is included. Actually a jack-of-all-trades - therefore, we can only recommend this magnifier.
