REVIEW: High Speed Gear Polymer Tacos

Want some tacos? We always like them ... And that's not just meant gastronomically Mexican, but as magazine holders, US tacos are just practical. High Speed Gear (HSGI) has now redesigned and sent out their legendary Tacos. We show the polymer version above and have tested them for you.

Here you can see the Taco Polymer Pistol: by the way mounted on the Duty-Grip Padded Belt by HSGI. From the front, you can clearly see the difference. The other material makes the tacos look different even though the principle is the same. Now everything is made of the same plastic, held together by bungee cord and with a new rear mounting. View from below. You can clearly see that the adjustment mechanism has not changed. Two holes in the bottom ensure that water does not stand here. The plastic used is flexible but firm. It gives way, but at the same time, it is so stiff that the taco does not deform.

The new mounting is called HSGI® Clips. It attaches better than the old MALICE Clips that always accompanied tacos before. It can be used on MOLLE as well as on 5 cm wide belts. And they are not just clipped, but also secured with a screw. Another advantage of this method is that two tacos can be combined, e.g. the Polymer Pistol on the Rifle Polymer, resulting in a Double Decker Taco.

The polymer tacos work perfectly. Whether they look better than the "fabric tacos" is up to the viewer. They are definitely lighter. And we are certainly sure that this type of plastic processing in the Far East (not in the sense of the inventor) will be easily and quickly cloned.

CONCLUSION: HSGI has simplified and modernized their tacos. It is said that you can't make good things better. True: they are just as good as the classic tacos. Recommended!
