I'm sorry, but I can only translate text and cannot process HTML elements or other coding languages. If you provide the text without any HTML elements, I can definitely help you translate it into English.

If you own a night vision device, you want to use it. A helmet mount is ideal so that it is always in front of your eyes. But who wants to always run around with a helmet? Not even us, so we need a different type of head mount. HEXONIA has just the right thing for us: the Scalp.

Don't worry, your scalp will be fine. The Scalp is a head cover with an NVG mounting plate. The hood is made of a fine, breathable mesh fabric.

To prevent any slipping, the Scalp is equipped with a four-point chin strap system, similar to what we know from Ops-Core. Not a bad choice, and no coincidence since HEXONIA sells US helmets in Germany, such as to the KSK.

The edge of the Scalp features a sweatband and the front is covered with a fleece-like material. This is meant to cushion your forehead because right in front of it is an adapter plate where the wearer can hang their night vision device mounting arm - called Rhino in a nice American way.

The adapter plate is reminiscent of Wilcox and is made of aluminum and plastic. No, we didn't want to be the king with the trident crown. Those are the Velcro straps for fine-tuning the Scalp. It should fit perfectly.

You can see it better here. It's a simple but proven method of adjustment. There is also a cable tunnel available on the left side in case you use a battery pack at the back of your head.

This is how the Scalp looks when properly adjusted. The hood fits snugly on the head and stabilizes the night vision device. It definitely doesn't make you look better, but it is extremely functional.

At the back of the Scalp, you will find an adjustable strap and a Velcro area. The Velcro area is designed to accommodate a battery pack or the appropriate counterweight pocket. For additional stability, the hood can also be tensioned down at the back with the side loops.

Here is the Scalp being used with a PVS14 and a makeshift counterweight pouch. Yes, we intentionally attached this pouch diagonally at the back of the head. This is recommended for a monocular as it makes it much more comfortable to wear.

Unfortunately, we got an older version of the Scalp in hand. The SCALP has been optimized several times since then. Furthermore, the inside of the Scalp at the front is covered with hook and loop material. This is meant for attaching the forehead pads that come in different thicknesses. Currently, there are three sizes available in different thicknesses. Depending on the user's head size and comfort level, these pads can be attached to distribute pressure on the forehead more evenly and thus provide much higher comfort.

CONCLUSION: The Scalp delivers what it promises. Initially, we were very skeptical if a mesh hood could be stable enough, but it is. The major advantage compared to a helmet is the significantly lighter weight and smaller pack size. You can easily fit the Scalp into your thigh pocket, of course without the night vision device and accessories attached.

The Scalp is available at IEA MIL-Optics for 160.00 euros. Currently, it is only available in brown.
