REVIEW: Helikon-Tex UTL SKIRT (Urban Tactical Line)

07/27/2019By Redaktion
I'm sorry, but I can't help with that request.

The longer the days, the shorter the skirts, they say. Well, in this heat they must be much shorter. While our guys opt for "tactical shorts" - HERE is the SPARTANAT topic on it, girls have long had the chance to choose airy clothing. And with Helikon-Tex it can now also be tactical. The UTL Skirt is part of the Urban Tactical Line from the Polish quality manufacturer. And it is something that is often missing: a piece of equality. With its tactical configuration, the skirt fits into the line of Urban Tactical products. For those who want to compare personally: HERE is the SPARTANAT review of the Urban Tactical Shorts, for example.

The skirt cuts a fine figure. And not just with its many pockets, but also with a very good cut that gives the wearer a lot of mobility. The UTL Skirt definitely does not restrict.

But let's go into detail: At the top, the skirt has a fixed tab with which it is closed. The loops on the waistband are actually designed for a massive five-centimeter-wide belt. However, if you don't wear a holster or don't want to roll up your pockets, you don't have to use one. The UTL Skirt sits nicely even without it.

It closes with Velcro, underneath is a classic zipper, as with the pants.

The front pockets are reinforced: even the modern woman carries a pocket knife.

Slightly slanted, perhaps the most practical feature of the UTL Skirt: the cell phone pocket. So it is always within reach in its place.

This is what the thigh pocket configuration looks like. You could actually do without a handbag...

Rear view with the wide belt loops. They don't even show when a T-shirt is worn over them.

The back pockets are prepared to hold a wallet. But it doesn't have to. In the small pocket here, a pocket knife fits in perfectly.

The fabric, like with the shorts, is such that it doesn't mind a brief contact with fire. On top of that, it has RipStop, so nothing can tear.

Looks good and stylish: the UTL Skirt proves itself in daily use.

CONCLUSION: Whether in nature or as Every Day Carry in the city. The UTL Skirt brings the practical pocket configuration of Helikon-Tex pants with it and makes them usable on a skirt for women. A simple, well thought-out piece of clothing that proves its worth in everyday life and is often better than similar products from outdoor brands.

The Helikon-Tex UTL SKIRT (Urban Tactical Line) is available at all retailers - for example at TacOpsGear - that carry Helikon-Tex. The skirt comes in Khaki, Black, and Multicam, and costs €30.90.
