REVIEW: Helikon-Tex Service Case

If you want to clean and maintain your weapon, you usually need a lot of "stuff" for it. For example, cleaning wicks, rags, all kinds of lubricants, cleaning rods, tools, and so on. It would be good if everything is nicely organized and always within reach. Helikon-Tex now offers the Service Case that meets exactly these requirements. Check it out:
The bag is approximately 30 x 15 x 6 cm in size and consists roughly of two parts. Part one is the bag itself, and part two is a roll-up underlay mat. Everything is made of 500D Cordura and in the usual good quality. The color of our Service Case is Adaptive Green.First, let's talk about the mat. It is stored on the outside of the Service Case through a rubber band. For extra security, the mat can be secured with a G-hook.There it is in all its glory. The mat is about the size of a rifle, so most rifles have enough space on it, especially in disassembled condition. It is easy to see the foldable bowl lined with yellow, truck tarp-like material.This foldable bowl is fixed to the underlay with Velcro and is designed to hold all kinds of greasy parts. And those that you don't want to lose in the field.The Service Case itself consists mainly of pockets. The first one is on the lid and is closed with a zipper.After opening the main zipper, the lid can be unfolded to reveal the first organizational elements. Lots of rubber loops and two mesh pockets.The organizer with the screwdriver on top can be folded up to reveal more compartments and a bottom made of the same yellow material as the folding bowl to ensure no screw hides.One of the small Velcro pockets is also lined with the yellow material, making it perfect for storing cleaning cords.The organizer is attached with Velcro and can be quickly and easily removed. The image shows the entire Service Case with all its components.
