REVIEW: GREY PREDATOR Handmade OWB Holster

Sometimes, imagination is too much. Sometimes, the ordinary is exactly what you need. But you never want simple. Who wants plain? That's the same as boring, isn't it? Well, GREY PREDATOR HOLSTER based in Upper Austria has made it their mission to create custom holsters according to customer specifications.

Training matters. Gear is important. Holsters are important. The manufacturer offers to custom-make each holster according to the customer's wishes, if technically feasible.

Whatever firearm, with or without light module, various attachments and modifications, IWB or OWB, magazine holder, color, belt attachment or special gear. GREY PREDATOR strives to accommodate individual customer preferences.

All holsters are handmade upon receipt of the order and contact. Quality and individual customization are important to the manufacturer.

GREY PREDATOR uses aircraft-grade Kydex, as well as cross-head screws with Chicago screw backing and rubber gasket. For IWB holsters, various metal clips like UltiClip or Fat Jenny Clip, or plastic ones are used.

For OWB holsters, various mounts like Tek-Lok folding clip, J-Hook belt loops in different widths, Duty-Drop-Loops, Safariland® QLS Kit, etc. are offered.

What applies to firearm holsters also applies to magazines. Whether for rifle or pistol, single or double, GREY PREDATOR caters to customer requests.

Our test holster was graciously provided by GREY PREDATOR. We opted for an OWB holster with Safariland QLS Kit and Safariland SLS locking system. Communication is important and GREY PREDATOR asked several questions about color, security, application, and design after receiving the order.

CONCLUSION: The holster passed the test with flying colors. From a secure click when inserting the firearm to a solid hold during a full day of running, obstacle courses, and training at the shooting range, quick drawing and easy reholstering, GREY PREDATOR got the job done.

The holster's craftsmanship is top-notch and perfectly tailored to the firearm. There are no sharp edges, everything is cleanly rounded. The screws are placed neatly and securely.
