REVIEW: GhostHood SPEED-PACK15

In addition to exquisite camouflage, GhostHood also makes gear. In this case, small, lightweight daypacks. This practical backpack is called SPEED-PACK15 and it's something special. Why? We'll tell you.

First of all, there's the shape. Somehow the SPEED-PACK15 reminds us of a turtle shell. High in the middle, flat at the edges. By the way, it's currently available in Olive and CONCAMO Green. For the review, we mostly want to show it to you in Olive, as this is where the features stand out better. It measures about 49 x 24 x 15 cm and has an empty weight of around 435 grams. Both color variants are naturally IR-safe, for those who value that (must).

The SPEED-PACK15 in profile. What you can definitely see is that it offers plenty of laser-cut MOLLE/PALS loops on the sides and front. On the sides, you have two columns with twelve slots each, and on the front, four columns with 23 slots are available.

The carrying system is very flat and minimalist. Anyone thinking, "That can't be comfortable," is mistaken. The SPEED-PACK15 is designed for a pack volume of only 15 liters and can't be that heavy. Plus, the straps are nice and wide, and anatomically shaped, preventing pressure points.

The SPEED-PACK15 is very streamlined, which is great for use since it's hardly in the way.

Spread your wings. No, you can't fly with them, they're actually the lids of the SPEED-PACK15. It's filled from the side, which is the second special feature. It takes a bit of getting used to at first, but works great once you're used to it.

Here's the same image again, but without the loadout. The SPEED-PACK15 has MOLLE/PALS loops inside and two large, round cutouts for hydration hoses. You can slide hydration bladders or other flat items between the MOLLE panel and the back panel.

If you need to leave the zipper slightly open on the SPEED-PACK15 for antennas, it's not a problem. The zipper does not slide open as it can happen with other zippers. Therefore, your content is safe in the SPEED-PACK15.

Thanks to the simple design and minimalist nature of the SPEED-PACK15, it can be folded very small and thin, making it easy to transport in larger luggage. Also very practical to take on trips in a suitcase. The backpack for always with.

Each side of the SPEED-PACK15 offers three 25mm webbing loops. We have blue paracord inside here. You can attach buckles, carabiners, or paracord to them. This way you can either connect the SPEED-PACK15 to your equipment or attach jackets and similar items with expanders. There are also two loops sewn at the shoulder strap attachment points.

VERDICT: We have been using the SPEED-PACK15 for almost half a year in all situations and are very impressed with it. At first, we were skeptical due to the somewhat unique side filling, but in practice, it is very practical. As an EDC backpack, the SPEED-PACK15 has proven to be a loyal companion due to its lightness and spaciousness. But it has also served us excellently in the field as a lightweight daypack.
