REVIEW: G-Code Scorpion Magazine Pouches

10/03/2015By Redaktion

Since humanity invented the pistol magazine, the question has plagued them: how to transport the spare magazine that the gun user needs in case of emergency. Well, in a pistol magazine pouch. There are several of these available, from Cordua to plastic. G-Code is now focusing on Kydex and has found a very stylish solution to the problem with its Scorpion series.

Nice shape, Kydex, and Shock Cord. It already looks very nice in black. Here we have the pistol magazine pouch and the M4 or 556 version from the front.

From the back, it looks like this. In essence, it has the same look as the front, but here the different mounting options from G-Code are simply screwed on. For the belt (left) or for MOLLE (right)...

All good things come from above: The advantage of a rigid solution is that the pouch does not collapse after removing the magazine. When the magazine returns, it finds a funnel and is simply pressed into the Scorpion holster.

From below, we can see that the magazine pouch actually consists of two Kydex plates that assemble the magazine holder and interlock.

The Shock Cord holds everything together and can also be adjusted in tension. It's also nice to think that you can screw two of this type together - or pistol magazine holders to rifle magazine holders.

At the same time, this solution also looks very good on the man...

CONCLUSION: G-Code provides a very nice solution to the question of how to store my magazine. The Scorpion series works reliably and is extremely practical in application. Due to the various mounting options, it is also very versatile.

Here is an overview of the entire G-Code Scorpion series of magazine pouches. In Germany, G-Code is available at POL-TEC.
