A review of Multicam Arid, one of Crye Precision's four variations of the "universal" Multicam pattern. The FFI G3 set in Multicam Arid is showcased in detail, highlighting differences with the classic Multicam pattern.
The prettiest of the Multicams is Multicam Arid. It was created, like the others, from a competition for the next US Army uniform, where four camouflage patterns had to be submitted. Crye Precision simply took its "universal" pattern Multicam and made four different ones out of it: Arid, Alpine, Tropic, and Black. FLASH FORCE INDUSTRIES provides a very good replica of a G3 set in Multicam Arid, which we want to show you in detail today.
That's the whole set on a person. In addition to the FFI G3, you can see an LBT-6094K worn – in classic Multicam.
And this is the difference: Arid in the front is lighter and softer, the classic Multicam is more greenish. You can get the cool SPARTANAT Patch directly from our SHOP.
But let's start with the shirt. The set is not completely unknown, so let's go through it quickly.
High collar with wide neckline.
Upper arm pockets with pen holder. You can get our Ranger Eye patch HERE.
The upper arm pocket is divided into two compartments.
The boy is made of cotton and is also extended inside at the upper arms.
No pads are provided on the sleeves of this set. Anyway, no one ever wore them.
And it can be tightened very close.
As mentioned, the body of the FFI Combat Shirt is made of solid cotton.
And it is cut very long, which is good.
