The M952 weapon light is increasingly being spotted with units of all kinds. We took a look at the copy from Element for you:
The M952 is identical to the M951 (review here) except for the lamp head and the mount, so in this review we will only focus on these two differences.
Lamp Head
With the original, it is possible to switch between visible and IR light by turning the head. In the copy, the IR mode is replaced by a strobe mode, or as we lovingly call it, the disco mode. The brightness of the integrated Cree LED is the same as with the other lights.
Mount
Here, the Surefire M93 was cheekily copied, including markings. In the image, the lever is shown in the "open" position. To close the clamp, the small button on the left side of the lever must be pressed, and then the lever simply flipped over. A very well thought-out system that holds very securely.
CONCLUSION: The Element M952v, like the other lights from Element, is very well-made and robust.
Available at JK Army for $65.90 excluding shipping in black and DE (+$2)
