REVIEW: Earth Flannel V2.0 by LMS Gear

Since mid-October 2023, the new shirt from Last Man Standing Gear (LMSG) has been available. The Earth Flannel has received a facelift and SPARTANAT presents to you the changes in the new Earth Flannel V2.0 after a long period of wearing it.

As with its predecessors, it is made of heavy cotton 250gr/m2. Made in Portugal, LMSG stands for quality Made in EU, which is evident in the fabric selection and workmanship.

The new feature is clearly visible in the front, specifically in the chest pockets. Classic cut. The Earth Flannel fits true to size. Minus 1 degree and a light wind, the Earth Flannel V2.0 is perfect.

At first glance, you can already see a change in the two chest pockets. The left chest pocket is divided into a pocket large enough to hold a notebook, and an extra pen compartment.

The right chest pocket is the same size as the left, but not divided. A mobile phone or other items fit easily inside.

All the buttons on the Earth Flannel V2.0 are adorned with the "Last Man Standing" logo.

The new Earth Flannel V2.0 from LMSG features a Daisy-Chain button placket made of Paracord with sewn Canadian-Slotted-Buttons.

All buttons on the sleeves feature the "Last Man Standing" logo.

At the top of the button placket is a Paracord loop where sunglasses or shooting glasses can be hooked on.

Both breast pockets have pre-cut holes for various cables to pass through concealed inside the shirt. It is recommended to sew the cable passages like buttonholes at the edge, if they are not in use, to prevent the fabric from tearing.

Inserted in the button placket at the bottom hem is a small concealed pocket. Here a spare Canadian-Slotted-Button is hidden.

In this concealed pocket, a key for handcuffs can be hidden as a back-up.

In the previous versions, there were pockets in the kidney area. In the Earth Flannel V2.0, these pockets have been omitted.

CONCLUSION: The Earth Flannel V2.0 from LMSG is indeed an improvement over its predecessors. The pockets on the back have been removed, the right breast pocket has been reintroduced, and the loops on the sleeves are gone. High-quality materials such as Paracord and Canadian-Slotted-Button are used and are field-replaceable and easily repairable. The quality and craftsmanship remain excellent. The shirt can also be worn on its own in the transitional season, on cool days, or evenings.
