DNS ALPHA introduces the Heavy Insulation Hoody, a winter jacket combining tactical Cold Gear traditions with intelligent solutions. Lightweight and highly insulated, this hoody offers practical minimalism and excellent mobility in winter conditions.
Winter is coming, as every year, and as the days get shorter, the temperatures also drop. It's time to grab a jacket that has been with us for over a year and is now entering its second winter season: the heavily insulated one from DNS ALPHA, the new manufacturer for the best gear, HERE in our interview. We already introduced you to the Light Insulation, now its thicker brother, the DNS ALPHA Heavy Insulation Hoody, is up next.

DNS ALPHA delivers a winter jacket that builds on the best traditions of tactical Cold Gear. As temperatures approach zero, we start reaching for the heavily padded jacket that carries a special fiber within and retains a major advantage: being lightweight. For those who only wear a t-shirt underneath, the "Heavy" can be the go-to choice even earlier.

The jacket from DNS ALPHA is named "Hoody." And that is one of the essential components of this hoody. It's a spacious, well-fitting hoody that protects the face with a formable roof and is shaped with a gusset.

Wearing the hoody down makes for a perfect collar that doesn't let snow in.

DNS ALPHA are masters not only of the cut but also of the materials. Everything is top-notch and innovatively used: the individual panels of the fabric come together to form a very flexible and durable jacket. And while others "elaborate" on their jacket designs, here the motto remains an elaborate "keep it simple."

The High Insulation Hoody fits close to the body and promises not only extremely good packability when stored in a backpack but also good mobility in winter. You don't have to feel like the Michelin Man.

The high collar goes almost up to the nose. There are also two pull tabs that can be used to adjust the "window" almost to a small gap when the hood is up.

Worn open, DNS ALPHA looks just as good. An inner pocket with a zipper at chest height provides accessible storage space.

Inside, it looks as fluffy as it is. Otherwise, no special features.

You should recognize them by the Velcro shape, the DNS ALPHAs. The small triangle is a style element, not a pen holder.

Both sides have storage space in the upper arm pockets.

Practical consideration: use fingers to grip the end of the sleeve and pull the zipper up. Opening is vice versa. Super easy.

Flexible fabric is used at the sleeve ends to prevent drafts and bulkiness. Everything is "slick" here.

The pocket here is more of a belly pocket than a chest pocket. And it is really usable.

Especially in everyday use: ideal for sinking your hands into when the weather is cold.

At the bottom end inside, there is a waistband sewn in. It ensures that cold air doesn't come in from below the jacket.

And now we wait for the snow. For DNS ALPHA, it's not a problem at all.
CONCLUSION: A fantastic LEAF jacket. Simple design with loving detail solutions, durable, inconspicuous, ready for action. DNS ALPHA attracts everyone who wants intelligent solutions and practical minimalism.
