REVIEW: Denim Gen2 Combat Custom Pants

Crye Precision has in a certain sense started a revolution in the equipment sector. Pants with stretch panels and integrated knee pads. Everyone wants that now. So why not expand into the civilian market? On the left you can see - in comparison to a real Crye pant - the Denim Gen2 Pant in the Limited Edition, which is available at J.K. Army.

Here the pants are put on. There is little to say about the pants themselves that could not also be said about the Crye pants (HERE is the review of them). By the way, the AC, or the second generation, is copied. The denim fabric is relatively light and thick, and very comfortable to wear. The pockets are all where they should be and functional.

At the knees, you can clearly see the bright blue 4-way stretch, which is very blue. The Velcro is also quite blue. All of this gives the pants a very striking color contrast. The knee area has the height adjustment like the original. The knees are also at the right height and work with protectors.

CONCLUSION: The Denim Gen2 Combat Custom Pants are superbly crafted and a great pair of pants which we would love, if it wasn't for the somewhat brutal color choice. Pale blue against electric blue is quite socially noticeable. If it were a solid color like the G3 brand, it would be easy to wear. It definitely suits well for DIY projects. Insert knee pads and get to work on your knees … Whatever you do there.
