Magazine fixation is usually associated with pouches. Crye Precision has taken an unconventional approach here as well, but it is very practical: with the Magclip, you can hang magazines (almost) anywhere.
The piece is simple: solid plastic, fixable with a screw. And two protruding wings, with which you can then hang the magazine.
Screwed onto a classic US GI magazine, it looks like this.
Almost all common AR15 magazines fit into this slot. Magpuls, for example, also fit (see top image).
Insert, screw in, and the magazine with Magclip is ready.
View from the back. Have we mentioned that this thing is from Crye Precision?
No pouch available for the magazine? No problem, just stick it on your belt. And yes, we are Mandalorians: "Weapons are part of our religion."
The Magclips are designed in such a way that you can now simply stick the magazines into MOLLE loops.
CONCLUSION: Small, very practical idea for fixing magazines. Certainly not suitable for every situation, but Magclips make storing magazines very flexible from time to time.
You can get the Crye Precision Magclips in a pack of three at ARMAMAT for Euro 34.90.
CRYE PRECISION on the Internet: cryeprecision.comAnother practical application: the belly pouch on the plate carrier no longer has its own insert for the magazines attached. They are simply inserted with the Crye Magclip.
