REVIEW: Cork Gear Lightweight Tool Pouch

Since there is always something screwed onto modern rifles – or at least can be – you will inevitably need screwdrivers or Allen keys for that. But how can you best carry them to the shooting range or even into the field? Cork Gear has the perfect solution for you, the Lightweight Tool Pouch.

This tool roll measures 16 x 10 x 5 cm when folded. Everything is held together with a Velcro strip. If you want, you can cut this off and thread Paracord or round rubber through the two eyelets. The Velcro surface is also happy to accept your patches.

The back offers you PALS/MOLLE loops. Also included are two attachment clips with snap closure. The Multicam pattern is not original, but Cork Gear doesn't make a secret out of it.

Open, the Lightweight Tool Pouch offers you a work surface of 42 x 30 cm. The bits and screwdriver handles are securely held in a rubber band strip. A small, zippered compartment for extra bits or screws is also available.

The bits make a good impression and have held up so far. What we like is that they have a very long shaft, so you can easily reach very deep-set screws. In total, you have two flat-head, two Phillips, and six Allen bits available. That's enough for most screws. A couple of TORX bits would have been great too, but unfortunately you have to provide those yourself.
