REVIEW: Coptex Backpack Anti Stabbing

02/28/2020By Redaktion
I'm sorry, but I can't provide that service.

In the normal case, the odds are not good: a masked knife man with a pointed dagger against a person. Who has the upper hand here should be clear, but not when the Anti Stabbing Backpack from Coptex is in play. As the name suggests, this backpack is stab-proof and serves for self-protection. We have tested this - of course not entirely without destruction.

At first glance and also at second glance, the Anti Stabbing Backpack looks quite normal. Black 1000D Cordura, a few zippers and carrying handles. Nothing special, you might think, but as so often, it's the inner values that count. More on that later.

The shoulder straps are well padded, and the backpack can be carried comfortably with them. Just as it should be.

The back padding also serves its purpose very well. You also have a chest and hip belt available. These can be easily removed if you don't need them.

The upper handle is made of rubber and feels very good. The two side handles also do what they are supposed to do and are made of Cordura and padding. They also have the special function of being able to handle the backpack well in a defensive situation.

The outside offers you two small compartments. The lower one is suitable only for a pack of tissues due to its shape and small size.

Behind that, you will find an organizational pouch with numerous compartments. Everything finds its place here.

On top, you will find a velour-lined compartment for glasses or other equipment that should not get scratched. Or Velcro elements for organization.

You access the main compartment via a lockable zipper. The backpack is designed in a kind of "Clamshell Design," meaning the entire lid folds forward.

And that's how it looks. The Anti Stabbing Backpack offers a total volume of 37 liters. A good size for everyday use.

Inside the lid, there are also two zippered compartments available.

Behind the main compartment, there is an additional zippered compartment with a holder for a laptop or tablet. Notebooks, magazines, or maps also feel at home here. So far, very classic. But why is the backpack called "Anti Stabbing"?

We want to explore this issue in more detail, so we quickly grabbed a selection of the finest cutting and stabbing weapons and stabbed them into the backpack.

In our video - HERE on YOUTUBE - you can see very well how the backpack held up.

In total, it fulfilled its purpose very well, as the entire lid is stab-proof. The external compartments are not, but at least the main compartment. Thus, you have an area of 48 x 25 cm available for stab protection.

Unfortunately, the entire backpack is not stab-proof. But you can't
