REVIEW: Condor Recon Chest Rig

07/02/2014By Redaktion

You don't always need a plate. But a man always needs ammunition. That's where a Chest Rig is perfect, especially when it carries enough magazines and is kept airy so the user can remain agile. We took a look at the Condor Recon Chest Rig for you.

The basic recipe is the usual: a panel with magazine pouches on it and straps that crisscross over the back. You don't always have to be surprised when the classic works well.

The Condor Recon Rig is somewhat reminiscent of the LE Rig from Eagle, which we've already introduced in a clone by Flyye. Only here you can carry twice as many, namely six M4 magazines, a practical number, set in two rows of three.

Followed by six slim magazine pockets for pistol magazines. Of course, two of these could also be used for a multitool and flashlight.

Behind that, there is a nice map pocket so you have everything you need for a reconnaissance mission at hand.

In addition, the Recon Rig has MOLLE, so the wearer can attach the pockets he wants on the right and left side, possibly a radio and medical kit. Sewn MOLLE is often criticized. It doesn't excite us either, but it works. We are less impressed with how diagonally the top row of MOLLE is sewn here.

CONCLUSION: Overall, the Condor Recon is a practical Chest Rig at a reasonable price. Not a revolution, but a solid, affordable solution.

You can get the Condor Recon Chest Rig in MultiCam, A-TACS FG, A-TACS AU, Olive Drab, Black, Tan. In Germany, you can find it at Recon Company for 79.95 euros.
