Today we are on duty in the city and left everything at home that looks like camo. All? Well, we don't want to overdo it. At the same time, we want to be inconspicuous but have all the stuff a man needs with us. So: Tactical Jeans. That's a big word and a big pair of pants, and on top of that, the combo is currently trendy. So it's high time to check out what's behind it. Imagine you have to go on a mission and you grab the wrong jeans. We couldn't allow that. That's why here and today the Blue Denim Tactical Flex Jeans from Claw Gear. We wore them for you. From the front, it has a good cut with a comfortable tube width and a discreet appearance. The pants come with a belt from AustriAlpin, with the proven Cobra buckle. Of course, if the pants need to come off, it needs to be quick. The belt is necessary, the Claw Gear jeans sit low on the hips. This is quite fashionable, but perhaps not suitable for every age group.
View from the back. Do good and talk about it: the Claw Gear logo is prominently featured on the central belt loop. One can also see the pull down: the two back pockets sit low and extend to the thigh.
Pulled off (we spare you the sight): the name of the company is prominently visible again on the back. And you can also see how well the pants are sewn. Wherever there could be strain, the seams are double. And also high performance in the front: closed with button and zip.
Every pocket knife carrier loves this. On both sides of the pants, there are corresponding reinforcements on the pockets. This allows for a small Gerber to fit as well...
...like a medium Pohl Force. Overall, the pockets, we'll get to that, are so large that even a large pocket knife can easily fit. On the right, you can also see the watch pocket (formerly used for pocket watches), which can neatly accommodate a Glock 19 magazine, a Glock 17 would stand out noticeably.
The pockets themselves are as large as Russia. On the left, Claw Gear has added an elastic band to the pants, probably to put in a pistol magazine. This doesn't quite work for us, as the magazine slips down after some movement. It would be better a bit longer and divided once, then maybe two magazines would hold. Here, we put it to the test with another urban equipment item.
But even the vital Red Bull can slips through. Now that it's standing at the bottom, you can also measure the depth of the pocket. It is indeed really huge in a positive way. Standing upright, arm stretched downward, hand in the pocket, fingers outstretched, you need a centimeter to reach the bottom seam of the pocket. Impressive. But as with other items in pockets: size matters.
What would jeans be without an appropriate label. It almost says everything you need to know: name and company. The fabric of the pants is extremely comfortable to wear. Slightly firmer yet soft: 94% cotton, 4% polyester along with 2% elastane create an almost stretch-like fabric. The pants come in dark Midnight or lighter Sapphiere color, both of which are also available pre-washed - so four variations of the same pair of pants.
Now the guys and gals at Claw Gear, we know them, are not show-offs who would just randomly place a tag like that just to show off the logo, when everything is already on the leather tag. Behind this conspicuous wedge lies the tactical secret of the pants (yes, that's on the back...)
