REVIEW: Claw Gear AUG QD Sling Swivel

What God has joined together, let man not separate. Nice and good, but what if it's more practical? With the Steyr AUG, the weapon sling is fixed to the weapon, attached front and back. But does it have to be that way? No. The gentlemen who change this come from near Steyr: the Claw Gear AUG QD Sling Swivel creates flexibility. These pieces are actually made for all AUGs, from Austrian to Australian to American rifles. And here's how it works: Knock out a pin with a pencil that holds the sling loop at the front of the AUG. Here are the two parts side by side: the old classic on the left, the new QD Swivel holder from Claw on the right, and underneath the pin to install the new cone. The finished product looks like this at the front. It may not make the AUG prettier, but more user-friendly. Mounted with sling. The QD Swivel is quickly detachable, as the name suggests "quick detach" (QD): Simply press on the QD at the back and - click - the strap is released. Conversely: simply plug it in. On the stock, it's even more convenient: here the whole pin is replaced. The original is on top, the new one from Claw Gear below. Already fixed with QD Swivel. In the stock, during use: Attention, the set does not include the two counterparts that are looped onto the straps. Those must be purchased separately.

CONCLUSION: Small parts that come in extremely handy for the Steyr AUG. The sling is no longer fatefully connected to the rifle, does not have to be unlaced, but can be removed with a press. Be it to store the weapon or just because the strap is currently annoying.
