Burris delivers our next Magnifier. It is equipped with the standard 3x magnification, as its name "AR-Tripler" suggests. In the USA, this device is highly praised and placed on the same level as Vortex, but we cannot share this opinion. But let's take a look at the specifications first.
With 100mm x 45mm x 45mm, the Vortex and the Burris are almost the same - only 5 millimeters shorter with the Burris. The weight is slightly lighter at 182 grams.Optically, we cannot share the common opinion on the internet that Vortex and Burris are on the same level. The Burris is definitely not quite as clear and also has a slight fisheye effect. Not really disturbing, but definitely present. The eye relief of 5.5cm is slightly shorter than that of Vortex and thus worse. The field of view at 13.4 meters at 100 meters is a bit larger, but as mentioned before, not quite as important behind a reflex sight.
Mechanically, the two devices are indeed on the same level, so the Burris naturally has the usual adjustment options for the lens and diopter. Robust and water-resistant, it is in no way inferior to Vortex. Unfortunately, we cannot say anything about the mounting, as we did not have the Burris-specific mounting for our test device at hand. Interesting and not ranked here is the mounting from American Defense. The Swing Mount is rotated 180° to the side, which works quickly and well, unlike the competition. Otherwise, you can use any 30mm mounting available.
The biggest drawback of the device - although it costs around €179 including mounting at the current US exchange rate - is the availability in Europe. Absolutely impossible to get this part, which is actually a shame. The Burris could have easily taken on the role of the low-budget option under Vortex.

CONCLUSION: The Burris was unfortunately the most disappointing, as we had higher expectations based on reports from the internet. Nevertheless, the AR-Tripler is a good device and worth recommending. Unfortunately, extremely difficult to obtain in Europe.
Many thanks to Gearaffe Tactical Equipment (https://www.facebook.com/Gearaffe/info?tab=page_info) for providing the test device.
