REVIEW: Blue Force Gear Vickers Cobra Sling

Little is more important in a weapon than the strap you hang it on. After all, most of the time it will help you carry it reliably. And at the same time, it is obviously also important when things get serious. Today we are taking a look at a high-end sling from Blue Force Gear, the Vickers Sling with Cobra Buckle (VCAS-C), which is available in Germany at SNIPER AS.

At the front and back of the weapon, the strap is looped in just like normal. The BFG VCAS is the rebirth of the 2-point sling, after everyone thought that the truth lies between 1-point and 3-point. Here on the strap, you can already see a slight gray coloration coming from the gas pressure mechanism of the AUG. Also visible in the picture is the Cobra Buckle from Austrialpin, which acts as an emergency release aid here.

This BFG sling is of extreme quality. The strap material is about 3 centimeters wide. Steel tri-glides and aluminum adjustment tri-glides are incorporated in the strap. We have our hand on the tab here, which allows you to adjust the length of the weapon strap with a single pull.

With a quick upward movement (left), the sling reaches its maximum length and the shooter has full range of motion. If the weapon needs to be carried close to the body or stabilized over the elbow with the help of the strap, you pull down on the tab (right) and the strap shortens.

Getting the weapon away from the man in an emergency is always difficult. Not here. Simply press the Cobra Buckle and the strap separates into two parts.
