REVIEW: Blue Force Gear UDC One-Point Sling

The matter in a nutshell: Here, the weapon is hanging at a point on the sling, which is why we - surprise! - are talking about a One-Point Sling. We took a look at the UDC Padded Bungee One-Point Sling from Blue Force Gear, which is available in Germany at SNIPER AS.

Basically, the sling consists of two parts: the loop that is placed over the upper body and wraps around the chest and back in a loop from shoulder to armpit and back. Once it is put on, the position of the sling does not change anymore.

The length of the rifle strap can be securely adjusted with two sliders. It consists of a padded part and simple solid fabric. In the area of the latter, there is a movable slider, which is actually a Fastex closure.

Here the Fastex is unclipped. You can therefore remove the weapon immediately and with one hand. The advantage is also that there are different end pieces to which the weapon can be fixed. Here we have a classic HK clasp, which in this case goes to a Sling Mount from VLTOR (right). There is also an adapter with a simple strap, a MASH hook, or the Push Button Sling Swivel for direct clicking. HERE at BFG you can see the different possibilities.

View of the detached UDC Sling: In front the area for width adjustment, behind it the padded section. By the way, it is nicely stretchy in the transition ("Bungee"), so that you can quickly release the weapon and it lands relatively gently on your side when you switch to the secondary weapon, for example.

CONCLUSION: A very perfect One-Point Sling from Blue Force Gear in the usual high quality. 5 centimeters wide and well padded, it fits nicely around the upper body. The movable suspension allows for quick weapon changes from the right to the left shoulder. The weapon is cushioned when dropped abruptly.
