How do you get a Glock 17 with an M6 light-laser module to the man? There are several solutions for that. SPARTANAT presents to you today the Blade Tech Weapon & Tactical Light Holster. The material used is of similar stability to that of Safariland holsters. The holster looks very bulky with the weapon, almost a bit cumbersome and large. However, this is deceiving at first glance. Since the holster fits quite well against the body and always gives a good feeling that the weapon sits well and stays where you want it to.
There are two different ways to wear the Blade Tech Weapon & Tactical Light Holster, the paddle inside the pants waistband, or between the outside of the pants and the belt. If you use a well-fitting belt - like a rescue belt - you can easily carry the holster inside the waistband without any problems. The advantage is that you can thread the holster out of the pants quickly and without opening the belt.
If you wear a slightly looser belt or pants with a wider waistband, it is recommended to thread the holster between the waistband and the belt. The Blade Tech Weapon & Tactical Light Holster securely holds the weapon with the light-laser module and does not allow the weapon to wobble or slip. Losing the weapon is simply impossible.
The drawing behavior is similar to that of any belt holster. Since this holster is designed for concealed carry, the left hand moves towards the holster and lifts the clothing here to allow access to the weapon.
The Blade Tech Weapon & Tactical Light Holster itself does not have a retention system. The only protection against unauthorized drawing is to remain invisible. Tight clothing is only suitable when the holster is to be carried openly, such as on the shooting range. Here, there is also no risk of clothing getting caught between the holster and the weapon, which one must be careful of when wearing concealing clothing. A shirt or jacket conceals the holster.
The Blade Tech Weapon & Tactical Light Holster consists of a hard shell that is fastened to the paddle with two screws and can be individually adjusted. The holes in the holster provide the opportunity to use it on various other platforms like the SERPA MOLLE platform or SERPA MOD-U-Lock platform.
On the outside, the holster has two screws that adjust the grip of the holster. These are already very tight from the factory and do not need to be tightened any further. The nose of the paddle can be attached at three different depths to accommodate wider or narrower belts.
CONCLUSION: The Blade Tech Weapon & Tactical Light Holster is an exceptionally good but also slightly more expensive alternative to cheaper models, but its modularity leaves almost nothing to be desired. After multiple uses, the holster has not slipped or allowed the weapon to be drawn with the holster. The holster also quickly and securely accommodates the weapon with the light-laser module without much fuss.
The Blade Tech Weapon & Tactical Light Holster is available directly from Blade Tech (already with the newer paddle where the nose, for belt width adjustment, is at the top) for $79. You can choose between different weapon and LLM combinations. The holster is available at various local firearms stores for around 80 euros.
