REVIEW: Blackhawk! Hellstorm Nomex Gloves

02/29/2012By Redaktion

Such pilot gloves are often seen on the hands of soldiers, regardless of their weapon type or nationality. We'll tell you why:

Because they are simply comfortable to wear and also flame resistant, unfortunately the skin underneath is not. These gloves from Blackhawk! are made of fine goatskin and also Nomex. The quality of the workmanship is very high, even if it doesn't look like it in the picture. But this pair has been in use for six years. After such a long time, even a consumable item may show signs of wear and tear. The index fingers were the first to start deteriorating, so they were later shortened.

Conclusion: A truly good and reliable companion, unfortunately also a bit more expensive than its competitors. The fit for this pair was tight, but still comfortable.

Available for example on Ebay from 41.99$ (excluding shipping) in OD, TAN, and Black
